Eco, vegan bags: Matt & Nat

Vegan fashion can be luxurious. And this is the designer vegan bag to prove it.
Matt & Nat are a dream come true. When transitioning to a vegan lifestyle, it can seem as though you need to give up all of your luxuries but then you find brands like this and you realise you just need to look a little harder.
Vegan bags can be tricky because they're often made from cheap materials claiming to be 'vegan leather' and they break within a year. However, Matt & Nat make beautiful bags that are intended to last. Not only that, they're environmentally conscious and use recycled materials where possible.
The linings are made 100% from recycled bottles. They also incorporate other eco materials like recycled nylons, cardboard, rubber, cork and recently recycled bicycle tires.
Their brand and everything they do is centred around their motto...
This doesn't just pertain to fashion, it includes their appreciation for humanity and nature. The name even comes from Mat(t)-erial & Nat-ure.
The bags are investment pieces at around £80-£150 but affordable when considering the craftsmanship, materials and integrity. Their designs are classic and so your bag will never go out of style. Once you've found the bag for you, it'll become a staple.
We tried out their Mira bag in the colour Gravel and it is beautiful. It has a great structure to it with a soft, slightly textured vegan leather exterior.
The handles are durable and don't feel as though they'll pull at the stitching. Every component is well made.
The colour is gorgeous, as is their entire colour range. We love the 'fig'.
